Is it normal for synfig to render 1 frame for 10seconds?

Postby thekalinga » Wed Jul 11, 2018 9:43 am

I'm trying to render my animation which have atmost 2-3 objects moving across the screen simultaneously with most of the background white. My animation resolution is 1920*1080

When I try to render the project, most of the CPU cores are under utilized (~20%) & GPU is not even used (hovering around 3%)

My machine has Intel® Core™ i7-2620M CPU @ 2.70GHz × 4
This machine has NVS 4200M/PCIe/SSE2 with 1GB dedicated memory + 48 CUDA cores
The machine has 16GB RAM aswell

And I use Ubuntu 14.04 with NVIDIA driver running in "performance mode". Also note that my animation is mostly white background with just 1 or 2 small objects moving slowly across the screen most of the time

Is it normal for synfig to render this slow even on machines with dedicated graphics card? (or) am I missing something obvious?
