Re: Synfig's older versions are faster

Hi and welcome here :) There is a possibility to move a file back to an older version: - Load it in your current synfig (new one) - Save as, select the format down-right, then the version down-left - Load it in your old, out-dated Synfig Be aware that Synfig's File Format has evoluated: structure, n...

Re: Copy paste issues within parameter values using keyboard

You know, there is an issue tracker in Synfig's Github...
Instead of to spam here, you could report them directly, but check before if such tickets don't already exist ;)

Re: Integrate Synfig into Krita

What do you think? Is this possible?

Good luck
You have access to the source code of both of them, Krita is Qt5, Synfig is GTK.
You *could* implement concepts of Synfig in Krita but it would not be Synfig anymore.
And Krita also has its own animation system.

Re: Using electron instead of python for UI redesign

The choice of Python is that it is simple, open-source and stable for a long time. Not only this, but compatible out-of the-box with GTK which is the UI toolkit. It is also used as an embedded interpreter and can be used without any problem with C++. And it doesn't mean of Synfig will not remain C++...

Re: Make Simple things simple, Complex things complex

Hi and welcome here. Thank you for your constructive observations. Most of the problems your enounced are either know or "solved" in the Wiki For 1 & 2: Use a Group Layer instead of manipulating directly your rectangle. Group Layers are widely used in Synfig to solve most of positional...

Re: Animation toolbar not visible

If I remember well, it happens when you open directly a SIF file created with Inkscape.
Instead try to create an empty Animation, then use Import function from the menu ;)

Re: Any chance for Synfig to stop lagging?

Try to update to 1.3.8 Be sure your power profile uses 100% CPU and the laptop is power supplied Check any possible trouble with drivers (GFX, Sound, Wireless, Hard Disk...), with a DPC Latency Checker if needed Try to changer the Rendering Engine in the Preferences Ensure Synfig uses your Radeon GF...

Re: Any chance for Synfig to stop lagging?

Hi, it would be helpful if you were adding some info here: - Synfig version (1.3.8 form me) - OS (Ubuntu 18.04 64bit for me) - GFX card drivers up-to-date? According a previous post you are under Win 10. Some recent updates of Win 10 and GFX drivers made it slower also See https://forum.lazarus.free...

Re: Rotation about X or Y-axis

By the way, we can add some horizontal and vertical jig to the coin to look more natural. As well as before, we use converters on a "Jig" layer, whose Offset will be split in composite. This jig will be connected to the Cosine of the rotation (which will be an exported value, varies from -...

Re: Rotation about X or Y-axis

Hi, I think the most "Synfig way" to achieve your goal is to use the Converters. First you need to create a group containing all your elements. Fadhilkwan, I stole your sample without any shame  and I went deeper. We will play with the horizontal scale as well but directly with a ...
