It’s been more than 2 years since our last stable release, time to update! After 26 months of development we are happy to announce new stable release – 1.4.0!
This version delivers many new features, improvements and important fixes. Please read Release Notes for complete list of changes.
This release is made possible thanks to many people who supported Synfig development with contributions through Download page, Patreon and OpenCollective platform.
Great!!! Congrats and thank you very much!! ^_^
Oh no!! Still have horizontal scrollbar problem. I can’t click on the last item. In the case of layers for example, I solve it by creating an extra and invisible layer and leave it below. But with the parameters I have to be widening that panel each time or accessing the value through the keyboard … Anyway, maybe for the next version…
It is an annoying GTK problem.
For now, you can set an environment variable: GTK_OVERLAY_SCROLLING=0 .
On Linux, you could call synfig like this: `$ GTK_OVERLAY_SCROLLING=0 synfigstudio` for example.
On Windows, you could edit the .bat launch file in a similar way (but I didn’t test it).
Rodolfo RG, I did not know how to use the variables. I’ve looked it up, and it works! Thank you!!
cd “%~dp0\”
set GTK_OVERLAY_SCROLLING=0
set SYNFIG_USER_SETTINGS=%~dp0\config
start “” “%~dp0\bin\synfigstudio.exe”
I have been waiting for this version for a long time. Working great! Thanks so much!
I am so happy! Kudos to all. behind this lovely software!
Not able to move Dock Panels
Hi! Can you post your issue to github tracker so developers can take a look? (https://github.com/synfig/synfig/issues)

Mine started crashing every time now, it wasn’t before… I wonder what happened? It started every time I right click on something. I have the 1.4 version on a Sierra Mac.
